Sawyer is built from concentric metal shades stacked so that each layer catches and redirects the light. The result is a pendant that glows without dazzling: you can sit beneath it at a dining table and never look directly at a bulb. The layered form also throws bands of colour and shadow up the shade, so it reads as an object even in daylight.

Two sizes are offered, 30cm for smaller tables, kitchens and pairs, and 50cm for a single statement over a large table. The finish range is unusually broad: crisp White Modern and White Classic, Midnight Grey, Black, Red, Golden and Copper, deeper Purple and Dark Olive, the tonal Monochrome series in pewter, blue, burgundy and blush, and the softer Pastels combinations.

Shades are metal with brass and aluminium components and take a standard bulb, not included, so you set the warmth and brightness. The pendant is hardwired for indoor use and should be installed by a qualified electrician. Painted finishes may vary slightly from screen to metal and small measurement differences are normal. Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Loom Row suggests hanging the 50cm size 75 to 85cm above a large table, and the 30cm size a little lower over a smaller one, so the layers sit at eye level when seated.
