Its frame is formed from aviation-grade aluminium and paired with a soft acrylic diffuser panel, available in 39.4-inch (100 cm) and 47.2-inch (120 cm) lengths, each hanging from 59 inches (150 cm) of fully adjustable cable so the drop always suits the room.
Two dimming systems are built in: a three-level preset for quick changes from the wall switch, and a remote-controlled continuous dimmer for fine-tuning brightness to the exact moment. The result is one fitting that moves easily from bright, shadow-free task lighting over homework and food prep to a low, calm glow for late dinners and quiet conversation after the plates are cleared.
At around 5lb (2.3 kg) the Ondra hangs safely from standard ceiling fixings, and its IP32 rating handles everyday kitchen steam without complaint.
