Avery borrows the angles of a cut gemstone and blows them in glass. Each shade is faceted so the light fractures across its planes, and the effect is decorative without being fussy, which makes it a good fit for smaller flats and modern homes where a pendant needs to earn its space. Six colourways, from clear and smoky grey to green, blue, pink and yellow, let you match or deliberately contrast the room.
Four shade shapes are available and they are all compact: A is 17cm (6.7 in) across and 24cm (9.4 in) tall, B a touch slimmer at 16.5cm (6.5 in), C wider at 24cm (9.4 in), and D the tallest at 25cm (9.8 in). Hang one over a kitchen island, cluster three at staggered heights above a dining table, or use a pair as bedside pendants to free up the nightstands.
The fitting takes a standard E26 or E27 bulb, not included, so you choose the wattage and warmth; a clear filament bulb shows the faceting at its best. It is hardwired for indoor use and works with an ordinary wall switch. Please have a qualified electrician install it. Each shade weighs around 2kg (4.4 lb) and, being hand-blown, may show small variations in colour and size. Loom Row recommends hanging it 70 to 80cm (27.6 to 31.5 in) above a table so the facets catch the light at eye level.
