This Nordic coat rack is a slim wooden rail with five double hooks that slide along its length. You set the spacing to suit what you hang, so a heavy winter coat can have room on its own while scarves, bags and keys share the rest. The mix of natural wood and matte black keeps it simple and in keeping with a Scandinavian style interior. It keeps everyday layers off chairs and banisters.

The rack measures 40 x 7 x 7 cm (15.7 x 2.8 x 2.8 in), compact enough for a narrow hallway or the wall beside a front door. Beyond the entryway it works in a bedroom for tomorrow's outfit, in a bathroom for robes and towels, or on a wardrobe wall for belts and hats. It comes in one finish, black with natural wood, which sits comfortably against white or painted walls.

The rail is made from rubberwood with aluminium detailing, and the whole rack weighs 380 g (13.4 oz). It is wall mounted and the fixing hardware is included. Use fixings suited to your wall type and make sure the rack is secure before loading it. To clean, wipe the wood with a dry or lightly damp cloth and dry it straight away, particularly if it hangs in a bathroom.
