Bellamy is a tall, slim wall sconce, a 52cm (20.4 in) column of glass on an iron frame in gold or black, and it is designed to lift a corridor the way a candle sconce would have done a century ago. The vertical glass throws light up and down the wall in a long, soft stripe, which makes a low or narrow passage feel taller and calmer.
At just 13cm (5.1 in) across it fits between doorways and picture frames without crowding them. Use one on a landing or beside a mirror, or pair two for symmetry either side of a doorway, a bed or a console table. Gold warms up neutral and dark walls; black is sharper against white and pale plaster and pairs well with black door furniture.
It takes one E27 bulb, not included; a long tubular filament or a warm LED shows off the glass column best. The fitting is hardwired to 110-120V or 220-240V, CE certified and for indoor use, and should be installed by a qualified electrician. Clean the glass with a soft damp cloth and the frame with a dry one. Sizes are hand-measured with a small tolerance. Loom Row suggests mounting it with the centre of the glass at about 160cm (63 in) from the floor, so the column reads at eye level as you pass.
