Reese is an aluminium bollard that does the quiet work of a garden after dark: marking the edge of a path, lifting a border, guiding people from the gate to the door. It throws a wide 120-degree wash of warm 3000K light low across gravel, lawn or planting, so there are no hot spots and no harsh shadows, just an even arc that reaches where the house lights cannot.

Because it is hardwired rather than solar, it comes on at full brightness in December exactly as it does in June.
The fitting is sealed to IP65, so rain, hose spray and frost are not a concern. It must be connected to the mains by a qualified electrician using outdoor-rated cable and an RCD-protected circuit, and the base should be fixed to a firm, level footing. Space bollards two to three metres apart for a continuous run of light along a path or driveway.
